Daniel is a solicitor in Commercial and Technology Group at A&L Goodbody. Daniel practices in contentious and non-contentious aspects of Irish and European technology and intellectual property law. Since joining the team, he has assisted in advising domestic and international clients on a range of privacy, data protection and law enforcement matters.

Daniel holds an honours degree in Business and Law (BBL) from University College Dublin and, as part of his degree, spent a semester in University of Queensland in Australia. He also holds a certificate in Technology Law from the Law Society of Ireland

Introduction

Following its establishment earlier this year, Coimisiún na Meán (the CNM) released its first work programme on 20 June 2023. This work programme (the 2023 Programme) sets out the primary objectives of the CNM for 2023 up to February 2024.

The objectives in the 2023 Programme include the following:
